משטרת ישראל הודיעה על הארכת מעצרו של צעיר בן 22, תושב גני מודיעין, בחשד שתקף קטין בן 9 בירושלים במהלך יום הכיפורים. על פי החשד, הנאשם נפגש עם הילד באזור ממילא וריסס לעברו גז פלפל. הצעיר נעצר אמש (יום ד') לאחר פרסום ראשוני של המשטרה, ועבר חקירה במהלך הלילה. היום, בית המשפט נענה לבקשת המשטרה והאריך את מעצרו של החשוד עד לתאריך 1.10.2026.
