איציק בונצל, ששכל את בנו סמ"ר עמית בונצל בקרבות ברצועת עזה, תקף בחריפות את יוכבד ליפשיץ, שורדת שבי, בעקבות ראיון שהעניקה לחדשות 13. בונצל, המשוריין במקום ה-29 ברשימת הליכוד, אמר כי "הלוואי והייתה דרך להשיב את הגלגל לאחור ולהחזיר אותך לידי חמאס".
