כלי הנדסי של צה"ל עלה היום (שני) על מטען ברצועת עזה, במהלך פעילות שגרתית של צה"ל בגבול הרצועה. על פי הודעת צה"ל, לא היו נפגעים לכוחותינו באירוע. בתגובה לאירוע, תקפו כוחות צה"ל תשתיות של ארגון חמאס ששימשו לקידום פעולות טרור. בצה"ל הגדירו את האירוע כהפרה בוטה של הסכם הפסקת האש, והיא ההפרה השלישית מתחילת חודש ספטמבר. כוחות צה"ל בפיקוד הדרום פרוסים במרחב בהתאם להסכם וימשיכו לפעול להסרת כל איום מיידי.
