Sert Vizhnitz Holds Grand Torah Celebration for Halachic Study Completion

A festive Torah celebration called "Tenu Shevach" was held in the Sert Vizhnitz court to mark the completion of the laws of Shabbat by 42 outstanding married scholars. The group studied the material for more than five years with great diligence and then passed written and oral examinations before leading rabbis and halachic authorities.

The event was staged with pageantry and included the graduates, their families, parents, grandparents, and rabbis from the Hasidic community and from Haifa. It was hosted by Rabbi Ben Zion Lipshitz, who was himself one of the finishers, while Rabbi Moshe Dov Rosenberg described the long journey of the study program and the reward of reaching this milestone.

The program’s patron, Hacham Yaakov Fader, spoke about the importance of the "Mivtzar HaTorah" network of kollelim and said books written by its scholars help many other study groups understand the Shulchan Aruch. He pointed specifically to "Cheshav HaHalacha," by Rabbi Baruch Wisblum, saying no yeshiva or kollel studying these laws can avoid using it.

Sert Vizhnitz Rebbe joined the gathering, personally presented the appreciation certificates, and danced in celebration. The Biala Rebbe and the Dzikov-Vizhnitz Rebbe also attended to celebrate with their sons and descendants among the honorees. The Biala Rebbe praised the kollel scholars for studying God’s Torah while detached from worldly concerns, and the meal blessing was recited by Rabbi Chaim David Asaf on the 10th yahrzeit of his father, Rabbi David Asaf, after whom the "Mishnat Eliyahu" study track was founded.
