Over 40 Yeraot HaDvash Scholars Pass Rigorous Muktzeh Laws Exam in Honoring Torah

Last week, the Yeraot HaDvash kollelim network, led by Rabbi Moshe Frish, held a distinguished Torah event celebrating the achievements of over 40 scholars from the Shabbat Laws kollel. These scholars underwent a demanding exam on all laws of muktzeh, which they had studied intensively over the past year and a half. The exam was conducted before prominent rabbis including Rabbi Baruch Yehuda Heimlich, Rabbi Ephraim Fishel Motzen, and Rabbi Chaim Shmerler, who were impressed by the clarity and depth of the scholars' knowledge.

Following the exam, a festive meal was held in honor of Torah study, featuring speeches by several scholars and spirited dancing. The highlight was a Torah discourse by Rabbi Moshe Frish, the head of Yeraot HaDvash. Additionally, a moving memorial meal was held to mark the 26th of Av, the yahrzeit of the Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum. Nearly 100 scholars from the "Alot HaShachar" kollel, affiliated with Yeraot HaDvash, participated in this early morning study session that continues daily throughout the year.

During the memorial, Rabbi Israel Brag from Cleveland's Tiferet Avigdor yeshiva and Rabbi Tuvia Freund delivered inspiring sermons. Rabbi Freund brought a historic Satmar Rebbe shtreimel from 1957, symbolizing the Rebbe's sanctification of American soil. Rabbi Frish gave a fitting Torah address and joyfully danced with the sacred shtreimel to the tune of the sixth Satmar hakafah, alongside the kollel scholars celebrating Torah and its learners.
