ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו קיצר את ביקורו בארצות הברית, שנועד במסגרת נאומו בעצרת האו"ם. כחלק מהקיצור, בוטלה פגישה מתוכננת עם המיליארדר אילון מאסק, שהייתה אמורה להתקיים בטקסס. צוות מקדים של ראש הממשלה כבר הגיע לטקסס לצורך הכנות לפגישה, אך ביום ראשון הודיעו לצוות על ביטולה.

בנוסף, לוח הזמנים של הביקור שונה. במקום להגיע ביום רביעי, לנאום ביום חמישי ולשוב ארצה, נתניהו יגיע לניו יורק ביום חמישי בבוקר, יישא את נאומו בשעה 14:00 לפי שעון ניו יורק, וישוב לישראל באותו הערב. ראש הממשלה גם לא ייפגש עם הנשיא לשעבר דונלד טראמפ במהלך ביקורו.
