עורכי דינו של אייל גלר פנו במכתב תביעה לערוץ 14, לעורך הראשי יורם כהן ולמגישה טל מאיר, בטענה כי דבריה של שרה נתניהו, כפי ששודרו בערוץ, ייחסו למעשה "מציתי פחים" כוונה לרצוח. התביעה הוגשה בעקבות ראיון ששודר בערוץ, בו נטען כי גלר, יחד עם אחרים, תכנן להצית פחים במטרה להרוג. עורכי הדין של גלר דוחים טענות אלו וטוענים כי הן מהוות הוצאת דיבה. הם דורשים מהערוץ לפרסם הבהרה והתנצלות, וכן פיצוי כספי. נכון לעכשיו, ערוץ 14 טרם הגיב רשמית לדרישות התביעה.
