רשות השידור האירית (RTÉ) הודיעה כי אירלנד לא תשתתף ולא תשדר את תחרות האירוויזיון בשנת 2027. ההחלטה נובעת מהמשך אובדן חיי האדם והמשבר ההומניטרי בעזה, ועמדתה של הרשות בנושא נותרה ללא שינוי.

הודעה זו הופכת את אירלנד למדינה הראשונה שהודיעה על המשך החרם על התחרות בשנה הבאה, זאת לאחר מגמה של התנגדות לישראל שנרשמה באירוויזיון האחרון. ההחלטה האירית ממשיכה את החרם שהוטל גם על אירוויזיון 2024.
