אירלנד הודיעה רשמית כי לא תשתתף בתחרות האירוויזיון בשנת 2027, כמחאה על השתתפותה של ישראל. רשות השידור האירית, RTE, מסרה כי עמדתה בנושא נותרה ללא שינוי, והיא מציינת את "המשבר ההומניטרי בעזה ואובדן החיים" כסיבה להחלטה.

זוהי הפעם הראשונה שאירלנד מצהירה באופן רשמי ומוחלט על חרם כזה. ההחלטה מגיעה לאחר שגם בהולנד, רשות השידור המקומית הודיעה על אי-השתתפות, כאשר ההחלטה הסופית הועברה לגוף שידור אחר.

יש לציין כי רשות השידור האירית החרימה את התחרות גם בשנה שעברה.
