Meta Launches New Subscription Service Offering AI Tools and Premium Features

Meta has officially launched Meta One, a new subscription service that consolidates premium features across its platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, along with its Meta AI assistant. This move aims to monetize the company's significant investments in artificial intelligence and server infrastructure by offering advanced AI capabilities and exclusive customization tools for a monthly fee.

The service builds upon earlier individual "Plus" subscriptions, introducing tiered plans. The Meta One Core plan, priced at $7.99 per month (approximately 25 NIS in Israel), includes design features for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Plus, along with expanded image and video generation quotas for AI models like Muse and Restyle. A Premium tier, costing $19.99 per month (approximately 61 NIS), is designed for heavy AI users and content creators requiring extensive processing power.

For individual users, WhatsApp subscribers will receive exclusive themes, icons, the ability to pin more chats, and upcoming independent cloud backup support, reducing reliance on Google Drive and iCloud. Premium subscribers will also gain access to "Focus Schedules" to automatically mute or hide specific conversations during work or rest hours.

Meta is also offering four dedicated management plans for businesses and content creators, ranging from $54 to $1,999 per month. These business tiers include verification badges, impersonation protection, and enhanced access to the Meta Business Agent for 24/7 automated customer service. The Advanced plan, at $199 per month, allows for story scheduling up to 30 days in advance, adding links to posts and Reels, and granting team management permissions without sharing passwords.

A key benefit highlighted by Meta is priority human customer support for paying subscribers, addressing a pain point for users who have struggled with automated systems, particularly concerning account issues and incorrect suspensions. Business owners will have a direct line to human agents for security troubleshooting and account recovery.

Meta clarified that subscriptions do not remove advertisements, and all users will continue to see targeted ads. Furthermore, payment does not guarantee increased post visibility or algorithmic advantage. The company emphasized that the basic user experience remains free, but professional tools and unlimited AI access will require a monthly payment.
