Grieving Father Files Brutality Complaint Against Police After Traffic Stop Arrest

Yeniv Prizant, a bereaved father who lost his son in the Iron Swords War, has filed a formal complaint with the Police Investigations Department (PID) against officers involved in his arrest. The incident, which occurred last week, began when Prizant received a traffic ticket. He then attempted to film the traffic arrangements at the scene to document the conditions that he believed led to the ticket, intending to appeal it.

According to his lawyers, Prizant was arrested for "disobeying a police officer's order" without prior detention or explanation of the authority to prevent him from filming. The complaint details that an officer "cruelly" threw Prizant to the ground, placing a foot near his head to restrain him against the hot asphalt. Prizant alleges he was kicked in the head while on the ground and sustained injuries to his head and arm.

Video footage of the arrest, which was published last Thursday, reportedly shows Prizant stating he was not resisting. His lawyers argue that the continued use of force was unjustified. The complaint also notes that Prizant's pants were pulled down during the arrest, leaving him in his underwear, and he was then led away in this state in a public area.

The police stated that the available footage presents a partial picture of a driver arrested during enforcement activity after committing a traffic offense. They added that officers at the scene were required to use force to carry out the arrest and that the incident is under investigation.
