Grieving Father Files Brutality Complaint Against Police After Traffic Stop Arrest

Yeniv Prizat, a bereaved father who lost his son in the Iron Swords War, has filed a formal complaint with the Police Investigations Department (PID) against officers involved in his arrest. The incident, which occurred last week, began when Prizat received a traffic ticket. He then attempted to film the traffic arrangements at the scene to document the situation for an appeal, asserting his right to do so.

According to the complaint filed by his attorneys, a police officer allegedly placed their foot on Prizat's head to pin him to the ground, which was asphalt "boiling from the sun." Prizat's lawyers stated that he was "thrown to the ground cruelly" and felt kicks to his head while immobilized. The complaint further details that Prizat's pants were pulled down during the arrest, leaving him in his underwear, and he was then led away in handcuffs before onlookers.

Prizat's legal team emphasized that he explicitly stated he was not resisting arrest, yet the force continued. The complaint is supported by video footage of the arrest and medical documentation from his visit to a trauma unit. Prizat sustained injuries to his head and arm during the altercation.

The police issued a statement acknowledging the incident, describing the footage as presenting a partial picture of a driver arrested during an enforcement operation after committing a traffic offense. They stated that officers were required to use force to make the arrest and that the incident is under investigation.
