שב"כ, צה"ל והמשטרה עצרו חמישה תושבי ירושלים בחשד שתכננו לבצע פיגועים נגד ישראלים וכוחות הביטחון. החמישה, סביח אבו סביח ורשיד רישק, פעילי ארגון הטרור "שבאב אל-אקצא" המזוהה עם חמאס, וכן מוחמד אבו סביח, מוחמד עזמי בקרי ואחמד עזמי בקרי, נאשמים גם במעורבות בפעילות טרור. על פי כתב האישום, הפיגועים תוכננו להתבצע במסעדה במודיעין ובמחסום עזרייה בתחילת שנת 2027. לשם כך, החמישה אף רכשו נשק. במסגרת הפרשה נעצרו יותר מ-30 פעילים נוספים מהבירה ומיהודה ושומרון.
