Turkey Accuses Israel of Undermining Syrian Stability

A Turkish newspaper, "Turkiye," close to the Erdogan regime, has accused Israel of attempting to disrupt the stabilization process in Syria. The report claims that pro-Kurdish factions within the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) maintain ties with Israel, which is allegedly trying to thwart the unification of pro-Kurdish forces into the Syrian regime led by Ahmed al-Shar'a, also known as Abu Muhammad al-Julani. According to Ahmet Osman Albash, a senior SDF official quoted in the report, this unification would disrupt Israel's long-term plans. Al-Bash alleges that thousands of weapons have been buried near the Turkish border for this purpose, and that these pro-Israeli Kurdish factions plan to rebel against the SDF administration's agreement with the Syrian president.

The report further suggests that Israel's regional objectives are behind U.S. connections with the SDF and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Al-Bash claims that salaries for Kurds are channeled from the U.S. through the UAE, with the ultimate goal of pushing Israel towards the Euphrates River, a move he believes Israel lacks the military power to achieve from the Golan Heights to Hasakah.

In a separate development, Greece has begun establishing a permanent drone base near the military airport on Rhodes, according to local reports. Greek defense companies are involved in the design and production of unmanned aerial vehicles, though the Greek military still relies on external suppliers, including Israel. This base, the second after one on the island of Skyros, is seen as a response to the perceived threat from Turkey, given Rhodes' proximity. Turkish defense officials have reacted angrily, stating the base violates the island's demilitarized status and threatens peace and stability in the Aegean Sea.
