Kaplan Medical Center Cardiologists Deny Training Deficiencies Amid Review

Professor Kobi George, head of the cardiology department at Kaplan Medical Center, strongly rejected allegations regarding the training of cardiology residents and specialists. He stated that all trainees have completed the required clinical, theoretical, and research training and gained the necessary experience to fulfill their specialization duties. Many graduates have successfully passed certification exams and currently serve as fully qualified cardiologists. George criticized the scientific council's recommendations as fundamentally flawed and based on an improper process, emphasizing that no binding decision has been made by the Ministry of Health, the authorized body on this matter.

In response, Clalit Health Services announced that its CEO has ordered the formation of a committee to address the findings and recommendations of the scientific council's report on the cardiology training program at Kaplan Medical Center. The Ministry of Health has been informed of the corrective actions already underway. Clalit expressed regret over the incident and affirmed its commitment to promptly rectify and regulate the deficiencies identified in the unusual report.
