Family of Missing Woman Heymenot Kasao Urges Shin Bet to Take Full Control of Investigation

Following a visit by Heymenot Kasao's family to Israeli President Isaac Herzog, the family expressed gratitude for his attention, empathy, and efforts on behalf of their daughter. They also appreciated Herzog's intervention in contacting Shin Bet chief David Zini but emphasized that current measures remain insufficient. The family insists that Shin Bet should not merely assist the police investigation but assume full responsibility for the case to ensure a proper resolution.

Heymenot's father, Tsafiya Kasao, thanked President Herzog for his involvement and support in advancing the investigation into their daughter's abduction. He described the meeting with Herzog as emotional and expressed hope to visit the president again as a complete family, including Heymenot. However, he voiced deep frustration with how the investigation has been handled so far, noting that although Shin Bet has been involved, the extent and nature of their assistance remain unclear.

Tsafiya Kasao called for a fundamental change in the investigation's management, stating that after two and a half years without finding Heymenot, the current approach is unacceptable. He demanded that the entire case be transferred to Shin Bet under David Zini's leadership, granting the agency full authority and resources to bring Heymenot home. He also requested a meeting with Zini to detail the investigation's failures.
