President Herzog Confirms Shin Bet Involvement in Search for Haimnot Kasao

Israeli President Isaac Herzog hosted the family of Haimnot Kasao at his residence and informed them that, at the request of the Israel Police, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) is now involved in the investigation and search efforts for Kasao. A statement from the President's office conveyed Herzog's remarks, emphasizing that Kasao is considered "a daughter of all the people of Israel," and that the entire nation is deeply concerned about her whereabouts. Herzog stressed that the Israeli government is exerting maximum effort using all available resources to locate her, describing the case as a top priority for law enforcement agencies. He also mentioned having spoken with Shin Bet chief David Zini, who confirmed the agency's active role in the case. The day before, Kasao's family had directly appealed to Zini, requesting that the investigation be transferred to the Shin Bet for further handling.
