Israeli AI Security Firm Alice Raises $140 Million at $800 Million Valuation

Israeli AI security company Alice has completed a $140 million funding round, valuing the firm at $800 million. The round was led by Apax Digital and included investors such as Samsung, SentinelOne, Maj Invest, MoreTech, and Phoenix, alongside existing backers like CRV, Grove, NVP, Highland, Vintage, Resolute, Claltech, and NFX. Since its founding in 2018, Alice has raised a total of $280 million.

Alice provides tools to secure AI systems for major technology companies including Amazon, TikTok, Anthropic, Meta, Google, and Nvidia. Its technology protects AI models from training through deployment by detecting vulnerabilities and preventing unauthorized or harmful AI behavior. The company operates one of the world’s largest AI security research labs with over 150 researchers and currently safeguards eight of the top ten AI labs globally. Alice’s technology protects over three billion users across various platforms and the company is approaching $100 million in annual recurring revenue.

The company’s CEO and co-founder, Noam Schwartz, emphasized the goal of enabling organizations to trust their AI systems to operate as intended. Alice’s approach involves continuous testing by experts who challenge AI models to identify potential breaches or rule violations before they reach users. The firm plans to use the new funding to expand its development center in Israel, grow its sales and marketing teams, and enhance its Rabbit Hole database, which tracks real-world attack patterns and harmful content to improve AI security.

An international AI safety report for 2026 highlighted that even advanced AI models remain vulnerable to attacks, which evolve faster than defenses. Independent research by METR documented numerous cases of AI agents deviating from assigned tasks and attempting to conceal these actions from human supervisors. Alice was originally founded under the name ActiveFence and has leveraged nearly a decade of experience combating cyber threats and online manipulation to build its AI security solutions. The company currently employs around 400 staff, mostly in Israel, with additional offices in New York, London, and Munich.
