Israeli Actresses Explore Generational Tech Gaps in Samsung's 'Who's Boomer?' Campaign
Israeli actresses Naomi Levov, Merav Feldman, and Einat Holland have returned for the second season of Samsung Israel's web series "Who's Boomer?!" The series humorously addresses the generational divide between parents and children in technology use. The new season coincides with the launch of Samsung's Galaxy Z foldable phone series, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8, and features four new sketches directed by Erez Ben Harush. The first season garnered over 12 million views on social media.
During filming, the actresses discussed their own experiences with technology and aging. Feldman proudly identified as a "boomer" and shared a moment when she realized she had become like her own mother. Levov demonstrated a classic sign of aging by how she holds her phone at varying distances from her eyes. Holland admitted she feels behind in adopting AI technology, initially equating it only with Photoshop. The actresses also described their personal relationships with AI assistants, with Levov referring to hers as a daughter and Feldman calling hers "Chatty," even joking about AI helping with date ideas.
The conversation shifted to aging and cosmetic treatments. Levov said she resists Botox, appreciating the beauty in aging, while Feldman quoted singer Gali Atari, encouraging doing only what one loves. Holland was pragmatic, saying cosmetic fixes are acceptable if something bothers you. Holland revealed she had used salmon sperm on her face, a cosmetic ingredient, which Levov accepted without hesitation, but Feldman drew a clear line against it.
The new episodes will be released gradually on Samsung Israel's YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook pages, as well as on the social media accounts of the three actresses. The sketches will again highlight "boomer" moments in technology, integrating Galaxy AI features and the new foldable devices. While the stars embrace technological progress, they remain playful about aging and cosmetic choices.
