Search Expands for Missing 24-Year-Old Nahman Keinan From Tiberias to Beit Shemesh

Nahman Keinan, a 24-year-old man from Beit Shemesh, has been missing for nine days, prompting extensive search efforts by his family, hundreds of volunteers, and police. Keinan was last seen near the Gai Beach in Tiberias last Monday after telling his family he was heading to Safed to meet his rabbi. Investigation details reveal that he spent the previous night near Mount Meron and took a bus to Safed the next morning, but for unclear reasons, he ended up in Tiberias where his trail was last detected.

The search, initially focused in northern Israel, has now expanded to include the Beit Shemesh area, where Keinan lives, amid growing concerns for his safety. Police units, including canine teams, are combing water reservoirs, open fields, and natural terrain around Beit Shemesh. The family is appealing to the public for help, specifically requesting assistance from off-road vehicle owners and professional drone operators.

Keinan's disappearance has revived fears in the Safed and Meron region, an area with several unresolved missing persons cases, such as Moishy Kleinerman, missing for over four years, and Haimenot Kessaw, missing from Safed for approximately 904 days. Security officials stress there is no indication these cases are connected but urge anyone with information about Keinan to contact the police immediately. Despite the elapsed time, Keinan's family remains hopeful for his safe return.
