Israeli Police Seek Public Help to Find Missing 24-Year-Old in Tiberias

Israeli police are requesting public assistance in locating 24-year-old Keteriel Nachman Keinan, who disappeared last week in Tiberias. Keinan was last seen on Monday, August 10, 2026, around 6 p.m. near the Gai Beach area in Tiberias. His family and police are deeply concerned for his safety as this disappearance is uncharacteristic.

According to Keinan's brother, Daniel Keinan, Keteriel was last in contact on Sunday evening, saying he was on his way to Safed and might stop at Meron. He was supposed to meet his rabbi on Monday morning but never showed up or rescheduled. Police investigations indicate Keinan spent the night between Sunday and Monday at Mount Meron, then took a bus toward Safed but somehow ended up in Tiberias.

Security footage captured him at the Tiberias central bus station walking toward the tomb of Rambam and then on foot toward the tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness. However, his phone's last known location was near Gai Beach later that Monday evening. Police and family have been conducting searches in Tiberias since then, with no confirmed sightings or contact.

Keinan is described as approximately 1.74 meters tall, with black hair, a beard, and brown eyes. When last seen, he wore a white shirt, black suit, a hat, and carried a black backpack and a dark brown tefillin bag. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Beit Shemesh police station or call the national emergency number 100.

The family emphasizes the urgency and unusual nature of his disappearance, hoping for any leads to help locate him safely.
