Family and Authorities Intensify Search for Missing 24-Year-Old Nahman Keinan Near Tiberias
Nahman Keinan, a 24-year-old Chabad Hasid from Beit Shemesh, disappeared last Sunday after leaving home en route to Tzfat. His last known location, based on public transportation tracking data, was in the Tiberias area, where search efforts are now concentrated. Nahman's family, alongside police and volunteers, have been conducting extensive searches around Tiberias, trying to verify every lead and report, though no clear trace has yet been found.
In an interview with Kikar HaShabbat, Nahman's brother Daniel described the ongoing anxiety and the exhaustive search operations. Nahman was supposed to meet his rabbi in Tzfat, where he previously studied in a yeshiva, but never arrived. The last tracking data from Monday placed him near Tiberias, prompting a broad search that includes the city center and numerous abandoned buildings.
Police teams from Beit Shemesh regularly travel to Tiberias to assist in the search, working day and night. The family is urging the public, especially the local Haredi community in Tiberias, to help by sharing Nahman’s photo and any information, no matter how minor it seems. Flyers have also been distributed to reach those without smartphones. The family emphasizes the urgency due to serious concerns for Nahman’s safety and asks for prayers for his health and safe return.
Nahman was last seen carrying a brown tefillin bag with a white stripe. The family requests anyone with information to contact the police or search teams immediately. Daniel expressed hope and faith that Nahman will be found healthy and returned home soon.
