Grandchildren of Rabbi Elyashiv Carry Bed at Funeral of His Daughter in Bnei Brak

In Bnei Brak, the funeral of Mrs. Sarah Israelzon, daughter of the late leading rabbinic authority Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, took place. The procession began from her home on Chazon Ish Street 5 and proceeded to the Ponovezh cemetery where she was laid to rest beside her husband, Rabbi Yosef Israel Israelzon.

Prominent rabbis, including Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein, Rabbi Aharon Leib Shteinman, Rabbi Baruch Dov Povarsky, and her brother Rabbi David Elyashiv, eulogized her. Rabbi Zilberstein recalled how Rabbi Elyashiv expressed a special wish to be hosted by his daughter Sarah whenever he was in Bnei Brak, saying, "I want to be at Sarah's place, that's where I want to be." He noted that despite many offers, Rabbi Elyashiv preferred to stay with her, and now they are reunited in heaven.

During the funeral procession, Sarah Israelzon's nephews, grandchildren of Rabbi Elyashiv, carried the bed, a significant symbol of their grandfather. The event was marked by deep reverence and respect for the family legacy and the spiritual stature of the deceased and her father.
