The story · English

Rabbi Benjamin David Elyashiv arrived yesterday evening, Wednesday, for a visit in Bnei Brak. During the visit, he went to pray at the gravesite of his father-in-law, the late Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Michal Yehuda Lefkowitz, on the occasion of the 15th yahrzeit, where he offered prayers for the salvation of all Israel. He then visited the gravesite of his brother-in-law, the Torah scholar Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, of blessed memory.

Before returning to Jerusalem, he went to the home of Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Bergman, the Rosh Yeshiva, to strengthen and encourage him for his steadfast stance in the struggle against the draft decree for yeshiva students.
