i24NEWS Crew Attacked While Reporting on Antisemitism in Belfast

An i24NEWS team was violently attacked last week while filming a report on antisemitism in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Reporter Yonatan Rohe and cameraman Nadav Abas were interviewing people in a bar area when an angry man, realizing the crew was Israeli, attempted to seize their equipment. After failing, he disrupted filming, made obscene gestures at the camera, and then approached the cameraman threateningly. When security was called, the assailant threw a large beer glass at Abas, causing a bleeding head wound. The crew left the scene and did not require further medical treatment; both are reported to be in good condition.
