Yair Lapid Announces Elazar Stern's Resignation After 11 Years in Knesset
Yair Lapid, leader of the Yesh Atid party, announced on Friday that Elazar Stern, a longtime member of his party, has resigned from the Knesset after serving for 11 years. Stern, one of the party's senior members, also held the position of Minister of Intelligence in the Bennett-Lapid government. According to reports, Stern decided to step down after realizing his chances of securing a spot on the joint Lapid-Bennett Knesset list had diminished. He is expected to join the "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eizenkot. Lapid expressed gratitude for Stern's many years of partnership and wished him success in his future endeavors.
