MK Elazar Stern Resigns from Yesh Atid and Knesset, Plans to Join 'Together!' Party

Elazar Stern, a longtime member of the Knesset representing Yesh Atid and former Minister of Intelligence, announced his departure from the party and resignation from the Knesset on Friday. Stern has served in the Knesset for over ten years and described Yesh Atid as a political home that allowed him to express his views and maintain hope for a unifying Jewish and democratic Israel. He is expected to join the new party 'Together!' led by former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot.

Yair Lapid, leader of Yesh Atid, praised Stern as a close friend and partner in many political achievements, including the establishment of the change government in which Stern served as a minister. Lapid expressed gratitude for Stern's years of friendship and collaboration and wished him success in his future endeavors. The announcement comes amid ongoing political realignments in Israel, including the recent unification of Lapid's and Naftali Bennett's parties under the 'Together' banner.
