Yesh Atid Members Secure Spots on Bennett-Lapid Alliance List Amid Departures

Following a wave of resignations from the Yesh Atid party, primarily due to limited realistic Knesset seats, key members are set to join the "Achva" (Together) alliance list led by Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid. Notable figures expected to be on the unified list include former IDF Major General Noam Tibon, Merav Ben Ari, and Ram Ben Barak. The exact placement of these candidates on the list, which will be revealed at a launch event on Sunday, remains undisclosed.

Among the prominent departures is former Energy Minister Karin Elharrar, who announced her decision not to run in the upcoming elections. Her exit marks the end of an era for Yesh Atid, as she is the last of the founding members from the party's 2013 launch, besides Chairman Yair Lapid, to leave parliamentary life.

Meanwhile, negotiations continue regarding potential mergers within the opposition bloc. MK Chili Tropper has indicated he would only join another party as part of a package deal, including Shira Shapira and Elissafer Peretz, who were instrumental in forming his party. This complicates potential mergers, as current polls suggest Tropper's party may not pass the electoral threshold on its own.
