Yoav Segalovitz Nears Joining Mansour Abbas's Ra'am Party After Key Meeting

The likelihood of former Knesset member Yoav Segalovitz joining Mansour Abbas, leader of the Ra'am party, has increased following their meeting on Thursday. The discussion, which lasted about two and a half hours, focused on principles for joint cooperation and strategies to combat crime within the Arab community. It was revealed that Segalovitz would be placed second on the party list and granted autonomy on matters related to religion, state affairs, and individual rights.

If Segalovitz joins Ra'am, the move will require final approval at the party conference scheduled for August 22, where members are also expected to approve the party's split from the Shura Council. Earlier this week, Segalovitz submitted his resignation letter to Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. Segalovitz, who also served as Deputy Minister of Public Security, received commendation from Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid, who thanked him for his many years of service to the state.
