Israeli Security Forces Evacuate Over Seven West Bank Outposts in Two Days
Israeli Border Police conducted extensive evacuation operations overnight between Wednesday and Thursday at several settlement points in the Benjamin and Samaria regions of the West Bank. The forces demolished structures and infrastructure at multiple locations, including the recently established outpost "Or Binyamin" near Wadi Zarqa in western Benjamin, which was set up about two months ago. Residents reported that the police entered the hilltop from several directions and used engineering equipment to destroy family homes, youth residences, animal pens, and water systems serving the community.
Following the operation at Or Binyamin, forces moved to "Nachalat Hanavi'a" near the settlement of Shiloh, where a residential building was demolished and equipment such as tools, mattresses, and jerrycans were confiscated. The evacuation continued at "Tel Talpiot" hilltop, where family homes were also destroyed and electrical appliances and other equipment seized. According to settlers, these actions are part of a series of evacuations carried out since the beginning of the week, totaling more than seven points cleared or demolished within two days.
Residents of Or Binyamin stated that the outpost was established to strengthen the Israeli presence in the Wadi Zarqa area and to attract hikers and families to the local springs, which they claim had been neglected and taken over by Palestinians for years. They described the evacuation as a harsh setback and expressed concern that there is an effort to reverse their progress and return the area to Palestinian control. The settlers emphasized that since the outpost's founding, many organized tours and family visits had taken place there.
The operations followed requests from the Israeli military and police, who labeled the outposts as unauthorized and part of ongoing efforts to enforce Israeli law in the West Bank. The evacuations reflect the broader tensions surrounding settlement activity and Israeli security policies in the region.
