IDF Braces for Possible Fire Toward Israel in Coming Hours, No Home Front Changes Yet
Following an IDF strike in Beirut, the military said Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir is holding ongoing situation assessments with the relevant commanders. Based on those assessments, the IDF is preparing for the possibility of fire toward Israeli territory in the coming hours.
The army said it remains in a state of readiness and alertness for a range of defensive and offensive scenarios. It stressed that, for now, there is no change to Home Front Command instructions.
The IDF urged the public to stay vigilant, act responsibly, and follow Home Front Command guidance. It said that if the instructions change, the public will be updated accordingly. The military added that it will not accept fire directed at Israel.
