Omer Nir'on is set to join Maccabi Haifa on a season-long loan from Maccabi Netanya, with Haifa holding a purchase option of 1.4 million shekels at the end of the loan. Nir'on, who underwent surgery in London a few months ago, is currently finishing his rehabilitation and is expected to return to full training within the next month to join coach Barak Bachar's squad. Initially, he will serve as backup goalkeeper to Georgi Yarmakov or potentially become the first-choice keeper if Yarmakov is sold during the transfer window.

Nir'on's arrival at Haifa is anticipated to trigger a series of changes among goalkeepers in the Israeli Premier League. Nadav Zamir may leave Hapoel Jerusalem to become the senior goalkeeper for Maccabi Petah Tikva, with Niv Antman remaining as the second-choice keeper there.
