Omer Nir'on Joins Maccabi Haifa on One-Year Loan from Maccabi Netanya
Omer Nir'on, the 25-year-old goalkeeper, has signed a one-year loan deal with Maccabi Haifa, following an agreement between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Netanya. The transfer was finalized a few days after the clubs reached consensus. Nir'on, who played last season for Maccabi Netanya, expressed his enthusiasm upon signing, stating, "I am happy to join a great club like Maccabi Haifa, with huge challenges ahead."
The loan contract includes an option for Maccabi Haifa to purchase Nir'on outright for 1.4 million shekels at the end of the season. Earlier this year, Nir'on underwent surgery in London and is currently completing his rehabilitation. He has recently returned to full training and joined the squad known as "the Diamonds." Initially, Nir'on is expected to serve as a backup goalkeeper to Omri Glazer.
