White House Concerned Over Israeli Security Inaction Amid Jewish Riots in Palestinian Village

The White House has expressed concern over the Israeli security forces' perceived inaction against Jewish rioters in the Palestinian village of Kuseira. This issue was discussed on Wednesday after aides to President Donald Trump noted that Israel appeared not to be addressing the violence in the village. A senior White House official plans to contact Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office to seek explanations regarding the security establishment's reluctance to intervene against the rioters.

Earlier on Wednesday, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir ordered reinforcement of the Kuseira area with an additional infantry battalion to strengthen operational control and prevent further serious incidents. Additional reserve forces are also prepared for deployment if necessary. Israeli security forces arrived in the morning to evacuate an illegal outpost established in Kuseira, with Central Command Chief Avi Blot visiting the site. Although the IDF stated the outpost evacuation was completed and border police remained to secure the area, Jewish rioters reportedly stayed with their equipment and began rebuilding the outpost.

Residents trapped in the besieged neighborhood testified that the IDF left the area, effectively allowing settlers to reestablish the outpost. Separately, a U.S. administration source referred to a "pacification plan" favoring normalization as part of a Gaza agreement, which would cover $400 million of Hamas's debts.
