Three Suspects Face Serious Charges for Throwing Stun Grenade in Bat Yam

Three residents from southern Israel, including a 17-year-old teenager, are expected to face serious criminal charges for allegedly throwing a stun grenade at a residential building in Bat Yam. The suspects were apprehended shortly after the incident during police searches in the area. Officers from the Ashdod station found a vehicle believed to have fled the scene, leading to the arrest of the three individuals in an open area in Ashdod. They were then transferred to Bat Yam police station for interrogation, and their detention has been extended multiple times by the court.

During the investigation, police discovered a second stun grenade buried in the ground near where the suspects were arrested. The authorities have charged the suspects with conspiracy to commit a crime, aggravated assault, and negligent handling of dangerous materials. Upon completion of the investigation, the police plan to file formal indictments against the three and request that they remain in custody until the legal proceedings conclude.
