Jewish Tourists Face Severe Antisemitic Attack in France by Irish Man

Two Jewish tourists from Australia were verbally assaulted with severe antisemitic remarks by an Irish citizen in France. The attacker told them, "It's a shame Hitler didn't finish the job," and threatened to shoot them in the head. The incident occurred in a French supermarket when the man, who identified himself as "Paddy from Ireland," approached the couple after noticing the husband wearing a French football jersey and overhearing their English conversation.

According to Karen Eivers, the woman who recorded the encounter, the interaction began amicably with handshakes and a discussion about football teams. However, the tone shifted when Irish politics and its anti-Israel stance, including support for Hamas and Hezbollah, were mentioned. The Irish man became aggressive, stating, "We all agree with that," before delivering the antisemitic comment. When Karen started filming, he escalated his threats, saying, "I will shoot you in the head."

Karen shared the video on social media, where it quickly went viral, amassing around one million views on X. She called for the attacker to be publicly exposed. The footage highlights ongoing antisemitism in Europe and the dangers Jewish tourists can face even in everyday settings.
