Woman Killed After Car Loses Control and Hits Store in Hadera
A woman in her mid-60s died Wednesday morning after being struck by a car that lost control in the Mix shopping complex in Hadera. According to Israel Fire and Rescue Services, the vehicle crashed into a store and then ran over the woman, trapping her underneath. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and declared her dead due to severe multiple injuries. Firefighters from the Hadera station worked to free the woman from under the car while MDA and police units operated at the site. Paramedic Pavel Shkortov and senior paramedic Ofer Yosha from MDA’s motorcycle unit reported that the pedestrian was unconscious, without pulse or breathing upon their arrival, and despite medical efforts, her death was confirmed on site. Traffic accident investigators from the Menashe district and Hadera police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. After the rescue operation, firefighters handed over the scene to police for further processing.
