Nes Ziona Basketball Club Continues Strengthening Roster and Coaching Staff Ahead of New Season
Nes Ziona basketball club has undergone significant professional and financial changes following the arrival of a new owner last season. After a disappointing campaign that saw the team fighting to avoid relegation in the lower playoff bracket, the club now aims to finish in the upper playoff tier and climb higher in the league standings.
The team has renewed contracts for key players Spencer Weisz, Jackson Rowe, and Bryce Brown. Over the summer, Nes Ziona also signed several new players including Adam Ariel, Vincent Amsalem, Freddie Gillespie, Benia Sarur, Noam Dovrat, Jacob Wiley, and Paris Lee. Despite these additions, the club is still seeking to strengthen its roster by acquiring two more players: an Israeli forward and a foreign guard.
In addition to bolstering the player lineup, Nes Ziona plans to enhance its coaching staff. Two Lithuanian professionals, an assistant coach and a fitness coach, are expected to join the current team. This follows the recent appointment of Tony Wills as a skills development coach near the end of the previous season. The Lithuanian duo will complete the club’s professional staff as Nes Ziona prepares for the upcoming Israeli Basketball Premier League season.
