New App My-Rep Helps Users Manage and Clean Up Social Media History Privately

A new application called My-Rep, launched in August 2026, enables users to manage and review their social media history to identify and remove potentially problematic posts, comments, and shares. This tool addresses a growing concern among Israelis about old online content that may be perceived negatively today, affecting professional, educational, or public opportunities amid Israel's declining international image.

Users download their social media activity history themselves and upload it to My-Rep, which uses AI to analyze years of posts locally on the user's computer. The system flags content that could be seen as offensive, violent, inciting, extreme, or damaging to reputation, providing explanations and direct links to the original posts. Users can then decide whether to keep, edit, or delete the flagged content.

A key feature of My-Rep is its strong privacy protection: it does not require account creation, login, or sharing of social media credentials. All processing is done locally, and only anonymized text needed for scanning is sent for analysis, ensuring complete anonymity and privacy throughout the process. This approach helps users proactively manage their digital footprint before it can be used against them in situations like job applications, public appointments, or travel to foreign countries.
