Tech Entrepreneur Oren Dobronski Joins Likud List, Reality Show Delayed Until After Elections

Oren Dobronski, a well-known tech entrepreneur and investor on the Israeli reality show "The Sharks" since 2018, has officially joined the Likud party. His addition to the party list was announced on Monday, placing him at the 11th spot as part of reserved slots controlled by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Dobronski is recognized as one of the founders of Israel's high-tech industry and operates both in Israel and Silicon Valley.

Following his political move, the new season of "The Sharks," which Dobronski has been part of, will be broadcast only after the Knesset elections scheduled for October 27, in compliance with election laws and campaign regulations. The season has already been filmed and edited but will be delayed to avoid conflicts with the election period.

Likud highlighted Dobronski's expertise in technology and entrepreneurship, announcing he will lead initiatives related to artificial intelligence across various sectors including the economy, education, and healthcare after the elections. The party described him as a successful businessman, a founder of Israel's high-tech sector, and a right-wing figure. Dobronski's role is expected to focus on advancing AI policies within the government.
