Balad Advances Joint Arab List Ahead of Crucial Israeli Elections

The Balad party has welcomed the agreement to form a joint Arab list aimed at restoring public trust among Arab citizens and increasing their representation in the Knesset. Balad announced the establishment of working teams to promote the creation of this unified Arab list, which is expected to include Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad itself. In an official statement, Balad emphasized its commitment to the decision of the National Consensus Committee regarding the joint list's formation. The party also noted that it refrained from public statements and confrontations during the past month to avoid deepening internal disputes.

Balad described the upcoming elections as one of the most challenging and significant in decades for the Arab public, especially amid rising fascism, racism, and incitement. The party stated that the success of the joint list will be measured by its ability to restore hope and trust among Arab voters, increase voter turnout and Arab representation in the Knesset, help topple the right-wing government, and prevent the enforcement of mandatory military conscription on Arab citizens.
