Democratic Party Unveils 'Root Treatment' Plan to Combat Crime in Arab Society

The Democratic Party launched a comprehensive plan to address crime in the Arab community during an event in Nazareth. Party chairman Yair Golan reiterated his demand to control the Ministry of National Security, stating, "A state that can reach any terrorist worldwide can reach any crime boss in Israel. We will demand the Ministry of Public Security." The plan, named "Root Treatment," proposes declaring a national emergency, allocating one billion shekels annually, establishing a unit focused on the economic aspects of crime, and creating a department for education, welfare, and rehabilitation. This department is intended to be named in memory of the 49 children killed during the tenure of Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, according to the party.
