Einav Tsangoker Says Yair Golan Promised Her Knesset Spot but Retracted

Einav Tsangoker revealed on X that Yair Golan had promised her a secured position on the Democratic Party list for the Knesset but later withdrew the offer. She explained that in February, as reports of a potential Knesset dissolution surfaced, Golan requested a meeting and offered her a reserved spot near the top of the party list, which she accepted after consideration. Tsangoker was asked to keep the agreement confidential and reduce her public profile, which she did, refraining from exploring other political options or participating in primaries.

Despite multiple confirmations from Golan and his team that the agreement was firm, Tsangoker said Golan ultimately decided otherwise, effectively nullifying the promise. She described the episode as behind her and emphasized her commitment to serve the Israeli people outside the Knesset. Tsangoker pledged to work toward repairing the country and addressing societal divisions, especially in light of recent national tragedies and government failures.

She called on the public to prevent the current government from erasing the memory of recent attacks and to support efforts for equality, unity, and healing in Israel. Tsangoker expressed determination to continue advocating for change and urged collective support for her mission to rebuild the nation after the upcoming elections.
