Einav Tsangoker Accuses Yair Golan of Breaking Promise on Democratic List Placement

Einav Tsangoker, mother of former captive Matan Tsangoker, has publicly accused Yair Golan of reneging on a promise to secure her a protected spot near the top of the Democratic Party's candidate list. She revealed that in February, at Golan's request, they met and agreed on her placement immediately after the incumbent Knesset members. Tsangoker said the agreement was confirmed multiple times by Golan himself, and she was asked to keep the arrangement confidential and lower her public profile, which she did by not exploring other political options or participating in primaries.

Despite her compliance, Tsangoker claims Golan ultimately decided not to honor the agreement. She expressed disappointment but stated the matter is behind her. Tsangoker emphasized her commitment to continue public activism outside the Knesset, aiming to improve Israeli society and address systemic failures she believes have harmed the country.

In her statement, she called for unity and social healing after the upcoming elections, pledging to work toward equality and repairing societal divisions. She also highlighted the importance of remembering victims of recent national tragedies and supporting families affected. Tsangoker concluded by affirming her determination to be a clear and vocal advocate for national reform and invited public support for her efforts.
