Einav Tzangoker Accuses Yair Golan of Breaking Promise on Party List Slot

Einav Tzangoker, mother of former captive Matan Tzangoker, responded on social media after Yair Golan, chairman of the Democratic Party, announced she would not receive a reserved spot on the party list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Tzangoker stated that Golan had initially promised her a secured position near the top of the list, right after the incumbent Knesset members. She explained that after discussions, the reserved slot was agreed upon and she was asked to keep the arrangement confidential, with Golan emphasizing the importance of honoring the commitment.

Tzangoker revealed that this agreement was the reason she did not participate in the party primaries. However, she claims that despite fulfilling her part of the deal, Golan ultimately changed his mind and withdrew the promise. She summarized the situation by saying, "I fulfilled my side of the agreement, Golan decided otherwise. That is the whole story." This public dispute highlights internal tensions within the Democratic Party ahead of the elections.
