Einav Tsangocker Accuses Yair Golan of Breaking Agreement Over Knesset List Spot

Einav Tsangocker publicly accused Yair Golan on Monday of violating a clear agreement to reserve her a top position on his Knesset list. Tsangocker explained that discussions with Golan and his team began in February amid early reports of a potential Knesset dissolution. During a meeting requested by Golan, she was offered a secured spot near the top of the list, immediately following current Knesset members. After careful consideration, Tsangocker agreed to the arrangement, which was kept confidential as per their agreement.

She maintained contact with Golan's team, receiving repeated assurances that the agreement was firm and that her reserved spot would be officially announced after the primary candidates were finalized. Tsangocker also complied with requests to reduce her media profile and refrained from exploring other political options, including running in the primaries. However, she claims that Golan later decided not to honor the agreement, leading to her withdrawal from the primaries.

Addressing the upcoming elections, Tsangocker emphasized the need to prevent what she called the "government of failure" from erasing the memory of recent tragedies and failures across multiple fronts. She called for rebuilding the state on principles of equality in rights, duties, and opportunities to foster genuine unity and heal deep societal divisions. Tsangocker concluded with a commitment to work toward repair, unity, and healing in Israeli society immediately after the elections.
