Son of Former Shas MK Arrested Carrying Loaded Unlicensed Gun in Central Israel
A man in his 40s, the son of a former Shas Knesset member and resident of Rehovot, was arrested last Wednesday on Highway 44 near Nesher factory for carrying a loaded FN pistol without a license or serial number. Police forces from the Central District's Yasam unit stopped his vehicle after it raised suspicion, forcibly breaking a car window to detain him. During a search, officers found the loaded 9mm pistol inside a side bag in the car. The suspect has been brought to court three times, with his detention extended until Tuesday. During interrogation, he claimed he felt threatened since his partner was murdered at a Nova party, a statement now central to the investigation.
