Israeli Police Find Weapons Cache in West Bank Settlement, Suspect Attacks Officers

During a routine operation, police from the Judea and Samaria district discovered a weapons cache in the Kokhav HaShahar settlement in the Binyamin region, an area previously linked to unrest in the West Bank. Police bomb disposal experts were called to the scene to handle the seized arms. Concurrently, an Israeli suspect present at the location assaulted the officers, causing injuries, and was subsequently arrested. Following the arrest, approximately 50 settlers arrived at the site attempting to disrupt the police operation and prevent the suspect's detention. These settlers also attacked the officers. Despite efforts by the group to help the suspect escape, he was apprehended, while the settlers eventually fled. Police forces secured and managed the confiscated weapons and maintained control of the situation.
