Ahmad Tibi Rejects Joint List Deal, Leaving Ta'al Out Ahead of Israeli Elections

Two and a half months before the upcoming Israeli elections, Ahmad Tibi, chairman of the Ta'al party and Knesset member, has rejected the reconciliation committee's decision regarding the composition of the Joint List. This decision came amid severe disagreements and lack of consensus on the proposed framework. One member of the reconciliation committee resigned in protest over the failure to reach an agreement with Tibi.

As a result, Ta'al remains outside the current agreement, while the Hadash and Balad parties have already agreed to run together. Balad welcomed the committee's decision, whereas Hadash initially showed some hesitation, hoping for a full alliance including Ta'al. The political future of Tibi and his party remains uncertain at this stage.

Hadash issued a statement supporting the committee's decision, emphasizing that victory over the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir-Smotrich government depends on a large and strong Joint List. They called on all parties to respect the decision, viewing it as an expression of the public's will.
