Ta'al Advances Formation of Joint Arab List with Hadash and Balad Ahead of Israeli Elections

The Ta'al party, led by Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi, announced its decision to join efforts to form a joint Arab electoral list with Hadash and Balad for the upcoming Knesset elections. Ta'al stated that it agreed to have the National Consensus Committee assist in finalizing an agreed framework for the tripartite joint list. The party also left open the possibility of the United Arab List (Ra'am) joining the coalition in the future. This move aims to strengthen the political representation of Arab Israelis during what Ta'al described as a "decisive stage" in the political struggle, serving the interests of the Arab community.

Recently, Hadash and Balad reached understandings on cooperation for the elections, though no final signed agreement on a joint list has been published. Negotiations with Ra'am have stalled, and it appears the Arab parties will run on two separate lists that will sign a surplus vote-sharing agreement. Ra'am chairman MK Mansour Abbas has declared his intention to join the change coalition and has advised fellow Arab party members to consider supporting a minority government after the elections, even if only to bring down the right-wing government.
